A BRIEF HISTORY OF DAN (IF THAT IS, IN FACT, HIS REAL NAME)

In 7th grade, Dan created an improv comedy sketch called Emma and Gahildali (pronounced Guh-hill-duh-lie) with a fellow classmate which they performed weekly for the rest of the class. Based around the premise of two elderly women who loved to complain about everything, the sketch would go on to win zero awards.

Soon after, however, Dan did take home the highly-coveted “Nicest Hair, Male” senior superlative award in High School. He had some tough competition, given 99.9% of his male classmates were rocking identical buzzcuts.

Inspired by the classic Hollywood masterpieces, Breakin' and Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo, Dan took up breakdancing in his youth and was hired to dance at weddings and bar-mitzvahs. Alas, Dan's b-boy days are long gone. Though it's been said that when the herniated disc in his lower back isn't acting up, he's still got it. 

Cut to today: Dan is winning arguably more significant awards and praise as a writer/Creative Director in advertising and marketing. He’s worked for ad agencies, TV networks and global brands and has experience in a wide range of media and platforms – from traditional to digital and social, experiential and even music journalism. He’s worked across virtually every category, from food and CPG to tech/telco to automotive to finance to entertainment/fashion/sports/music and personal care.

Dan is also a musician on the side hustle and is currently the singer/songwriter/guitarist for indie rock bands Soapbox Army and Colour Wars.

Dan lives with his beautiful wife and daughters in Manhattan, NY. He also lives with a cute albeit delusional Havanese puppy who's 15 pounds but thinks he's a Pit Bull, and a beta fish with a passion for swimming.
